If you're eating the typical North American diet, you are probably consuming too much fat. You should not be getting more than 30% of your calories from fat. If you want to lose weight, you'll probably need to cut the amount of fat in your diet. Do not, however, make the mistake of cutting all of the fat in your diet. Some foods will help you burn fat. Let's examine what foods will give you the fat you need in your diet and why no-fat diets fail.
The number one reason that extreme no-fat and low fat diets fail is that people mistake low fat with healthy. Just because a snack is low in fat doesn't mean that it is good for you.
Processed foods contain empty calories and sugars that will cause you to gain weight. Focus on eating whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. These foods will give your body the nutrition it needs without the high levels of sugar and salt found in crackers and cookies.
If you are cutting down severely on fats and calories, you're body will react by going into starvation mode. Instead of burning the fat, your body's metabolism will slow down and it will work to store the fat that it has available. The only way you can lose fat is to feed the body what it needs.
You've heard before that not all fats are equal. Saturated fat can lead to heart disease and should be largely avoided. Meat and cheese is full of the fats that you don't want in your diet. So cut down on your intake of these foods and focus on the foods that provide the essential fatty acids.
One food that is great to incorporate into your diet is the avocado. The fat in the avocado is made up primarily of mono-unsaturated fats. In addition to the healthy fats of the avocado, you are getting other nutritional benefits such as vitamins A, B, and E. Avocado's will give your body the energy it needs during your muscle building routines. And they're great for your immune system, skin, and hair.
Flax is another great food. Flax seed oil contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6. There are several ways you can add flax seed oil to your diet. You can also buy flax seed oil from health food stores and some grocery stores, but make sure it is kept refrigerated and keep a close eye on the expiration date. You can drink it straight or add it to smoothies if you don't like the taste.
Ground flax seeds are another way to add this food to your diet. Whichever way you choose, be sure to not heat the flax as that destroys its beneficial properties. If you want the benefits of flax seed oil without the hassle you can purchase flax seed oil pills.
A third food that can help you burn fat by adding fat to your diet is walnuts. Walnuts contain the healthy fats and are a good source of protein. Adding a handful of walnuts to your breakfast in the morning will ensure that you have the energy you need for your day. Keep walnuts in your desk at work to provide a healthy snack.
Replacing the saturated fat with these three foods will help you lose weight and be healthy. Although you can have them daily, be sure you are not relying too much on these foods and focus on a well balanced diet.

Floating in the pool, going for a horse ride or walking a dog may not exactly sound like the most formal methods of physical therapy and occupational therapy. However, when proven therapy techniques and the skill of a rehab therapist are combined with these activities, they become aquatic physical therapy, equestrian therapy (or therapeutic riding) and pet therapy. Attention therapists, traveling physical therapists and travel occupational therapists looking for a fresh way to apply your skills and expertise: One or more of these practice areas may be for you.
Aquatic Physical Therapy
The basic premise is physical therapy with conventional physical therapy goals, carried out in an aquatic environment. A water environment such as a swimming pool offers properties such as natural buoyancy and resistance that would require special equipment to achieve on dry land. Physical therapy in water benefits a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular and more in all ages of patients.
Pet Therapy
Specially trained animals are used many different ways in therapeutic patient interventions. Overall, it has been proven the petting an animal releases endorphins, the calming, miracle chemical produced by the human body. From a therapy standpoint, this helps physical therapists with rehabilitating patients who would rather not go for their daily walk around the nurse’s station. Therapists have found that stubborn patients have a much harder time saying no to a dog than to them. Nothing against the therapists I’m sure.
Equestrian Therapy
Occupational therapists and physical therapists are a key component of equestrian therapy, also called “therapeutic riding.” This form of therapy, carried out at special rehabilitation centers with specifically selected and trained horses, has been proven very therapeutic in patients with brain or spinal cord injuries as well as developmental disorders such as cerebral palsy. The motions of riding a horse imitate the same physical movements involved in walking and therefore can retrain the muscles of the trunk and upper body to move this way.
Therapists with a taste for learning something new and an urge to break free from hospital settings, even if just on a part time basis, may find a whole new set of learning experiences in these cutting edge forms of treatment by beginning a career as a traveling physical therapist.

I HAVE BEENinstructed in connection with a proposal by
Caledonian MacBrayne to introduce Sunday ferries between
Stornoway and Ullapool.
At present the regular ferry between Stornoway and Ullapool
does not run on a Sunday. I assume that this is because of the
religious feeling on Lewis against a Sunday ferry and a decision by
Caledonian MacBrayne to give effect to that.
I am not at this stage considering whether or not, in general
terms, Caledonian MacBrayne can be prevented from running a
Sunday ferry if they wish to do so. The precise issue for the moment
is the apparent reason given by Caledonian MacBrayne as to why
they feel obliged to begin this service.
Put shortly, Caledonian MacBrayne seem to be suggesting that
they are obliged to provide this service because of the Equality Act
2006 and indeed claim to have Counsels Opinion to that effect. I
have not had sight of any such Opinion and do not know precisely
what is being argued but Caledonian MacBrayne have made
reference to Section 46 of the Equality Act which makes
discrimination on the grounds of religious belief (which includes a
lack of belief) unlawful. The argument seems to be that Caledonian
MacBrayne in not running a service would be unlawfully
discriminating against those people who wish the service and be
doing so on the grounds of religious belief.
I find it very difficult to accept or indeed fully understand this
argument. It is certainly unlawful to discriminate in the provision
of services on the grounds of religion. It is, however, in my opinion,
quite clear what that truly refers to. If a service is being provided,
i.e. a ferry is running on a particular date, it would be unlawful to
deny that service to any person because of their religious belief or
lack of it. Put simply, it would be unlawful to have a ferry running
but deny access to, for example, a Jew or Catholic or for that matter,
an atheist.
It is in my opinion an entirely different matter to decide for
whatever reason that a particular service will not be provided to
anyone. In that situation all are being treated equally in that no
person of any belief or none can travel on the ferry.
It cannot, therefore, in my opinion, be argued that this anti
discrimination legislation places a legal obligation on Caledonian
MacBrayne to provide a particular service. Nor does it matter what
the reason for not providing the service is. Put another way, this
legislation cannot force any body or person to provide a service
which they do not wish to provide at all.
I should, of course, re-state that I am not at all suggesting that
Caledonian MacBrayne can be prevented from providing this
service if they so wish. I do, however, disagree with their apparent
justification for so doing.

TORONTO, ONTARIO(Marketwire - May 6, 2009) - H1N1 Flu Alert from Canadas Travel Insurers: Get Trip Cancellation Cover With H1N1 flu likely to prevail as a health threat throughout the summer vacation season, the Travel Health Insurance Association urges all Canadians planning international trips to protect their health and travel investment by getting trip cancellation/interruption insurance when they purchase their trip and follow their federal governments warnings about travel to any destination.
This advice prevails not only for travel to and from Mexico, the epicentre of the H1N1 flu epidemic, but anywhere beyond Canadas borders, says THIA President Martha Turnbull. H1N1 flu has been confirmed by the World Health Organization in North and Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Furthermore, Canada has been cited by foreign government and health authorities as a key vector for transmission of the virus and so Canadians might expect increased surveillance or questioning by border authorities when traveling abroad this summer. We have already seen quarantine of Canadian travellers in China. We can expect to see more such incidents.
In protecting their prepaid travel investment, THIA urges Canadian travellers to contact a travel insurance specialist, who could be their travel agent, insurance broker, financial institution or other distributor of travel insurance, and get a clear, plain language explanation of their trip cancellation benefits and how they integrate with the benefits and exclusions of their air carrier, tour company or cruise line.
All policies have some limitations and exclusions, so it is more necessary than ever for travellers to understand where they stand should their trip to a given destination be suddenly cancelled, or should their destination resort close down, or should their government issue an advisory warning them not to travel to a certain country or parts of it,. says Ms. Turnbull. For example, on April 27, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada issued warnings against all but essential travel to Mexico. Anyone who buys a travel insurance policy after that time will not be covered for any trip cancellation/interruption and may not be covered for emergency health benefits while on their trip until the Canadian government rescinds that warning.
Canadian travellers also need to be aware that if they are uninsured and become ill while traveling abroad, they may encounter serious difficulties in getting a hospital bed in Canada-a situation made more difficult when pandemic fears threaten cross-border travel. Dealing with repatriation at the best of times is a complex process involving the highest cooperation between physicians at the site, assistance companies and insurers, says Ms. Turnbull. This is a situation travel insurers deal with every day. Without this backup, Canadian travellers would be alone to find their own solutions and absorb all the costs she adds.
The safest course, says Ms. Turnbull, is for Canadian residents planning any international travel this coming summer-no matter where-to contact a travel insurance specialist and get a clear understanding of how best they can protect themselves while traveling abroad.
About THIA. THIA is the national organization representing travel insurers, underwriters, re-insurers, emergency assistance companies, air ambulance companies and allied services in the travel insurance field. Its website is http://www.thiaonline.com/.

Egyptian food has changed over the years due its melting pot history and the influences from various countries such as Greece, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon. It is well known that the ancient Egyptians loved food as large feasts and symbols of food are depicted all over the ancient Egyptian walls and temples. Bread, beer and salted fish were most commonly eaten by ancient Egyptians.
Today, Egyptian-style food is comprised mostly of bread, rice and beans. Meat is considered a luxury and used sparingly in small amounts and cooked with vegetables. Chicken and Lamb are the most commonly eaten meats. Hamaam (Pigeon) is considered a delicacy in Egypt, but beware, it is often served with its head attached and buried in stuffing.
If you are traveling on a tight budget it is a good thing food in Egypt is inexpensive. Most of the high end restaurants are located in nice hotels. For a more authentic trip, eat like the Egyptians eat and amerce yourself in their culture. Below are some tips on daily eating in Egypt Egyptian-style!
Breakfast typically consists of beans, eggs, pickles, cheeses and jams. It is a light meal. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day, like most European countries, and is followed by a siesta. This meal is likely to start around 2pm-5pm or if eating in a restaurant between 1pm-4pm. Dinner is another light meal typically consisting of leftovers from lunch or a sandwich. Dinner is served between 8pm-midnight!
Snack Bars:
Snack bars are little stands that run along the streets of Egypt and many Egyptians choose to eat from for any meal of the day. It is the most way to eat like an Egyptian. They resemble a fast-food type stand and are a quick and inexpensive way to grab a traditional meal. Beware that health standards in Egypt are not the same as they are in the US, so research your food stands carefully before eating anything from them. These stands are very crowded around meal times.

A pickup in sales of cars, trucks and two-wheel- ers in the quarter ended 31 March may not be enough to help auto makers post im- proved earnings for the fiscal year gone by, a Mint poll of an- alysts shows. Year-on-year numbers are not going to be good, says Pi- yush Parag, an analyst at Relig- are Securities Ltd. At best, market leaders by revenues, Hero Honda Motors Ltd and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, will buck the trend and post growth, he adds. Nine brokerage firms polled by MintEmkay Global Finan- cial Services Ltd, Motilal Oswal Securities Ltd, India Infoline Ltd, KR Choksey Shares and Securities Pvt. Ltd, Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt. Ltd, Centrum Broking Pvt. Ltd, IDFC-SSKI Securities Ltd, Angel Broking Ltd and Religare Securities Ltdattribute the weak results to the severe slowdown in sales in the third quarter and high commodity prices that peaked in September last year. For auto makers, the last fis- cal year has been a roller- coaster ride. The first half of the fiscal saw a sharp increase in commodity prices. In some cases, they nearly doubled. The average price of steel, for instance, touched $1,130 (Rs56,161) per tonne in the second quarter last fiscal, Mo- tilal Oswal points out in a re- port. In the last quarter, they climbed down to $391 per tonne. Raw materials generally account for 20% of total reve- nues at an auto maker with steel making up a little over half of that. Then, the third quarter of the fiscal saw a sharp slow- down in sales. November sales of commercial vehicles were the lowest since 1997. Maruti sold 17,512 less cars in Novem- ber as compared with the year before. That trend reversed in the last quarter with sales reviving somewhat. Car makers ended the year with a marginal 0.13% increase in sales. Two-wheeler sales were up 2.6% while truck sales fell 21.69%. Despite that, Emkay Global expects overall profitability of auto makers to decline by 33% and net sales to fall 7% when compared with the fourth quarter of last fiscal. Analysts say while sales of cars and two-wheelers picked up in the last quarter, the out- look for commercial vehicles remains uncertain as most of the sales in the last quarter were made by fleet operators looking to take advantage of the accelerated depreciation norms. There are, however, signs that the market believes the worst is over for auto compa- nies. The 14-share BSE Auto Index has shot up by 11.9% this month. In the same period the benchmark index, Sensex, has risen 13.5%. Still, analysts say it is worth- while adopting a wait and watch policy. Jatin Chawla of IIFL Capital writes in a report that this buoyancy (in sales) may not sustain beyond the June quarter He points to tightfisted banks and the im- pact of a revision in salaries of government workers late last year waning after May. In the past two quarters car makers such as Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India Pvt. Ltd have targeted government employees who have received salary arrears. Marutis profit is expected to decline by 16%. Analysts surveyed expect Tata Motors Ltd, the countrys largest auto firm by revenue, to report a 79.6% decline in earn- ings compared with fiscal 2008. Tata Motors smaller rival in commercial vehicles Ashok Leyland Ltd is likely to see its profit more than halve to Rs211 crore compared with Rs477 crore. Unlike for passenger cars where the availability of fi- nancing options have im- proved, for commercial vehi- cles it is still an issue, said Anup Maheshwari, an auto an- alyst at KR Choksey. There is, however, a silver lining. A report by brokerage Prabhudas Lilladher shows that auto makers should re- cord an increase in the average realization per vehicle, or the money earned for each vehicle sold. For instance, Tata Motors is estimated to have earned an average Rs502,082 per vehicle last fiscal, an increase of Rs12,184, or 2.5%, over the previous year. This, coupled with lower commodity pric- escompanies are likely to see the full benefit of the reduction accrue only in the first quarter of this fiscaland an uptick in demand would mean in- creased profitability from the first quarter of this fiscal. Among two-wheeler makers, New Delhi-based Hero Honda is expected to clock an 18% in- crease in sales last fiscal and analysts expect profits to rise 28.7%. The company reports its results on Tuesday. Bajaj Auto Ltd is expected to report a 5.3% decline in profit. The company aims to regain shares in the market for the more profitable 150cc bikes and has six launches planned this year. Rural markets will continue to hold the key to growth in the quarters ahead and those auto makers with strong distribu- tion in smaller cities and towns (such as Maruti and Hero Hon- da) will continue to see earn- ings expansion, analysts said. In the last fiscal year, for ex- ample, rural sales at Maruti rose to 8% of its total sales vol- ume from 3.5% in fiscal 2008.
A pickup in sales of cars, trucks and two-wheel ers in the quarter ended 31 March may not be enough to help auto makers post improved earnings for the fiscal year gone by, a Mint poll of analysts shows.
Year-on-year numbers are not going to be good, says Piyush Parag, an analyst at Religare Securities Ltd. At best, market leaders by revenues, Hero Honda Motors Ltd and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, will buck the trend and post growth, he adds.
Nine brokerage firms polled by MintEmkay Global Financial Services Ltd, Motilal Oswal Securities Ltd, India Infoline Ltd, KR Choksey Shares and Securities Pvt.
For auto makers, the last fiscal year has been a rollercoaster ride. The first half of the fiscal saw a sharp increase in commodity prices. In some cases, they nearly doubled.
The average price of steel, for instance, touched $1,130 (Rs56,161) per tonne in the second quarter last fiscal, Motilal Oswal points out in a report. In the last quarter, they climbed down to $391 per tonne. Raw materials generally account for 20% of total revenues at an auto maker with steel making up a little over half of that.
Then, the third quarter of the fiscal saw a sharp slowdown in sales. November sales of commercial vehicles were the lowest since 1997. Maruti sold 17,512 less cars in Novem ber as compared with the year before.
That trend reversed in the last quarter with sales reviving somewhat. Car makers ended the year with a marginal 0.13% increase in sales. Two-wheeler sales were up 2.6% while truck sales fell 21.69%.

Also, beware of the avian flu outbreak currently in Egypt. Getting the influenza shot can help prevent catching the avian flu by covering the H5N1 strain, however, it will not fully protect you. It is better to be on the safe side and take all preventative precautions, get the flu shot before travel! Passport Health offers the influenza vaccine year round, including the shot that will help protect against strains of the avian flu.
Most of these vaccinations are routine for citizens of the USA and you have more than likely been adequately vaccinated for some, but it is important to see a travel medicine specialist to be sure you are prepared with the proper vaccinations and information to stay healthy in Egypt.
Now that you know about all the diseases and viruses that have preventive vaccines, you are free to take other preventive measures for the rest of the "icky" things that can affect your trip.

Your Landing Page Design can make or break your conversion rate.
All the search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising isnt going to create the sales you want with bad landing pages. Youd be just wasting your time and money.
And the truth is that almost EVERY page on your website is a landing page, except for your Privacy Policy, Terms of Use or Service, and possibly your About page.
Ive seen websites more than DOUBLE their conversions with landing pages that are properly designed to convert traffic to conversions (such as opt-in sign ups and direct sales).

Hey Everyone! My name is Mona Singh, and Im a first year med student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, actively engaged in my schools PHR chapter. As a student advocate for PHRs Health Action AIDS Campaign, I am excited to be writing to you from Kampala, Uganda. I am here with two other American med student leaders for the East Africa Health and Human Rights Leadership Institute on April 2-4, 2009. The event is organized by Physicians for Human Rights and Action Group for Health, Human Rights and AIDS (AGHA).
Though I have spent time on the African continent before, this is my first time in Uganda. I arrived a few days early with three national PHR leaders, Neil Chawla, a second year medical student at USC, and Justin List, a med student from Loyola currently living and researching TB in Kampala. We wanted to visit some rural and urban sites in Uganda and gain a better sense of the unique health and sociopolitical issues that affect the region. Seventy-five other medical and paramedical student leaders from schools in Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda and Kenya will join us later this week for the conference. The Institute will serve to strengthen a community of health professional student advocates both regionally and internationally.

Parents should really enroll their children in a dental care policy as soon as they can, No-one needs to be prompted how crucial it is to look after their teeth. This is an area where numerous parents fall down as they have their youngsters included to their health policies but often miss their need for dental care.
It is quite normal for kids to hate visits to their dental practitioner. This is oftentimes because they have been introduced to it when they are older so its easiest to do this while they are young.
Pediatric dental services and treatments can be located in the general family policy,If you find that your policy doesnt provide for minors below a certain age then you should look for another supplier. All the treatments available and included for their teeth can be found in the plans inclusions and exemptions segments. If for some reason your provider has only sent a brief outline of cover then you should ask for a full version of the policy provisions and exemptions. Dental care plans for children are pitched completely towards the requirements of the young. They have been organized in a way that makes them feel at ease with their dental practitioner.
To allay any fear, these policies employ dentists specializing in youngsters teeth and dental care, The only work carried out at these practices is with children teeth. Dental practices that specialize in pediatric dental care are well versed in all the latest toys and games that youngsters enjoy.Kids do not then relate a visit to the dentists with anything to be afraid of. Pediatric dental practices have been designed to treat kids thus you can be rest assured that your childs every want will be met there.
We all know that kids teeth are more likely to be broken or suffer with decay so they want to be started with good dental hygiene from an early age,This should avoid severe dental problems when they become adults. By having a pediatric dental care plan you can rest assured that your youngsters teeth will be taken care of.If they then select to ignore this when they become adults it will be their own fault.
Although numerous standard health care policies incorporate dental policies, they will not have as many features as those specifically designed for maintaining healthy teeth. The Internet can be a goldmine of information and many policies can be compared at once, often they are less costly if arranged this way. Many people now employ the Internet to arrange any type of medical plan but family dental plans are closely matched as far as their services are concerned but there are discounts to be had. You should not hold back if you do not have a pediatric dental care plan because it doesnt matter where you live,Just check out the benefits that your child is missing if you do not have this policy already.

Unless you have been existing in a cave, you know that the populace of the United States is aging. Soon the greatest generation will be a deferential memory and the baby boomers will be in full withdrawal mode. This will place a important increase in command on our health care system. The possessions of our hospitals and medical clinics will be even tauter forcing them to turn into less personalized and more institutional in selling with you, the patient. This can be a unenthusiastic factor for people who wish to have a health care vocation. They often seek alternating health care models which allow a more special deliveryin the residence.

Are you single and youre looking for ways to travel? Well, dont worry because there are thousands of people out there like you that are single and want to see the world. Sure, many people dont want to travel alone but some do. If youre one that prefers to be in a group, here are some tips that you can hopefully use.
Ask friends and family
Before you book your trip, ask some of your families or friends if they want to take a trip with you. If none of them are willing to go, maybe you could sweeten the deal by paying a little bit, if not all of it for them? Depending on how bad you want to go, Im sure you could find some friends that would be willing to go with you. I always say try and find someone you would be willing to go with rather than do it alone.
Dont be afraid to go alone
Going alone sounds like a boring time but it actually can be quite relaxing. Do some homework online and see what places experts recommend for those that are single. Doesnt it sound nice to wake up whenever you want? lay on the beach without anyone bothering you? Even if you go for a few days, its nice to leave the outside world and live with just yourself.
Look for services online
Some services online specialize with those that are single. Do a quick Google search and youll soon find out that there are many places that are willing to hook you up with others that are single. Even though youll meet up with strangers, it doesnt mean you wont make any friends. Just think of it that other people are there because of the same reason you are. Whether you want to meet someone for a long term relationship or you want to have fun, youll find many other people in the same boat.
Always remember safety
When travelling alone, always keep safety in the back of your head. If youre not familiar with where youre going, make sure you stay close to the hotel or in a well lit area with lots of people. As long as you play it safe, you shouldnt have a problem staying safe. You just need to use your head.
Travelling can be fun when youre single, especially if you go on some of these sites that I mentioned above because you can meet some really great people. Go out there, find some places that sound like they interest you and go from there. In the long run, you have to have fun.
