But I did find a way out of this nightmare. I want to share with others who might be going through something like this that I found a way out of my fears. I found a program called ‘Panic Away’, by Joe Barry, on the Internet. I was initially suspicious of buying it as I had never heard of it before. But I saw that there were many testimonials from satisfied fellow-sufferers and these encouraged me to download the e-book. As I studied it I felt Mr Barry was talking right at me. He understood precisely what I was experiencing and he showed me a way to escape from anxiety with a technique he calls the ‘One Move’.
This method has been a breakthrough for me. I used the system each morning (when I usually have my worst anxiety) and straight away I noticed a difference. Something was shifting – it’s difficult to explain: like a light going on – I had a sense that I was not running away from the panic any longer. Quite a few weeks passed without a major anxiety attack and then I gradually attempted to do things I was shunning – driving my car on my own, air travel on my own, lots of activities on my own where before I wanted somebody with me. A year later, here I am, feeling 100% improved. I now do not dread anxiety sneaking back because I have progressed way past it. That is what Joe Barry’s Panic Away has taught me.

I provide a variety of therapies. Including...

Swedish Massage- this is a soft, soothing, relaxing, stress relieving therapy. Involves long, soothing strokes to relax muscles and relieve stress.

Injury Recovery- this therapy uses a variety of modalities to help relieve pain, increase circulation, lengthen muscles, increase range of motion, and reduce muscle spasms. This can be old or new injuries and is my specialty.

Deep Tissue- this is a deeper therapy than Swedish massage. It involves working through the layers of muscles to get to the deeper tension found at the attachments and belly of the muscles. This therapy releases tension, increases circulation, opens problem areas, releases endorphins, and leaves you feeling amazing.

I also offer treatments to help relieve carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic pain syndrome, sports injury, auto accident recovery, thoracic outlet syndrome and much more.

Bing Travel is built largely on technology acquired when Microsoft purchased Farecast, a Seattle company, and it stands to reason that the switch had not yet been made from Farecasts servers (presumably at Fisher) to servers within Microsoft. Whether or not this move is being made now, further delaying Bing Travel, or that something else is at play is open to speculation. Microsoft workers were powering Bing Travel servers last night with portable generators, but as of this writing the site remains down (just checked one more time and the Chinese is gone, but the site is still down obviously its being worked on). Well update when the site does come back up.
Update: Just checked again at 11:15am pdt and Bing Travel is back up and running.

Im not a doctor, but a user for many years. It stops hair loss for me and approx. 90% of users I believe. It might re-grow small amounts of new hair for only about 50% of users. So the key is start using while you still have most of your hair. I have experienced no down-side or negative side effects that I can identify, other than the high cost. I have started taking 1 dose every other day in order to cut the expense in half, and so far so good. Another expense is the annual doctor visit to a dermatologist which is required to get a prescription re-filled. Try getting out of a doctors office for less than $100 these days! Most health insurance policies refuse to cover any expenses as it is considered elective.

Nearly 100 consumers, advocates, medical experts, healthcare professionals and legislators gathered at the State House on Tuesday morning to testify before the Joint Committee on Public Health on bills relating to patient safety, malpractice and medical errors prevention and reporting.
During the three hour hearing, many of those in attendance testified in support of the three priority bills of HCFA’s Consumer Health Quality Council. HCFA’s Executive Director, Amy Whitcomb Slemmer, introduced the Consumer Council’s three-person panel. The consumers told compelling personal stories as part of their testimony. Virginia Harvey testified in support of H. 2138 and S. 878 “An Act to Improve the Delivery of Health Care,” filed by Representative Provost and Senator Moore, which would require hospitals to use checklists to prevent serious errors that can lead to serious injury and possibly death. Checklists promote teamwork and collaboration among surgical teams and better surgical outcomes. The point was made that many other professions use them including construction companies and accountants, not to mention pilots. Ms. Harvey, who had to have her leg amputated because of an infection that she got during ankle surgery, said she hopes this gives patients a better chance than she had. The use of one particular checklist, a surgical checklist, has been found to result in approximately a 36% reduction in serious complications (including surgical site infections) and deaths.
Lucilia Prates testified on the importance of H. 2139, “An Act to Reduce Healthcare-Associated Infections,” filed by Representative Provost. This legislation would require hospitals to screen incoming high-risk patients for MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) - a bacterium that can be easily spread from person-to-person and cause infections among patients. Ms. Prates father died from complications due to a hospital acquired infection which was preventable. Nearly 100,000 Americans die from a hospital-acquired infection each year and 19,000 of those are MRSA. Five other states have similar laws in place.
Consumer Council President Ken Farbstein testified in support of S. 909/H. 2084, “An Act to Reduce Medication Errors,” which was filed by Representative Khan and Senator Tucker. These bills would establish an expert panel to study medication errors in Massachusetts and develop a prioritized list of concrete recommendations and best practices for how the Commonwealth can reduce the prevalence of medication errors. Nineteen years ago, Mr. Farbstein’s wife was given the wrong medication for a number of hours while she was in labor. Their newborn son spent 3 weeks in the NICU. He and his family did not report the error then but he’s sharing their story now to encourage others to do the same. He testified that more oversight and reporting mechanisms are needed.
A number of legislators testified in support of the more than thirty bills being heard. Rep. Provost testified in support of the two bills she filed and that are mentioned above- MRSA screening and using checklists. Of the first she mentioned that as a former trial lawyer, she only knew of two ways to handle the problem: 1) legislative oversight and regulation or 2) the inefficiencies of the malpractice system. She urged the legislature to take the initiative to regulate versus leaving the problem to the more expensive option. Rep. Provost also urged her colleagues to support the checklist bill. She cited figures from the study on surgical checklists that found their use in all operating rooms in the U.S. could save $15-25 billion per year. Senator Tucker also testified in support of the quality bills, saying “this is exactly the right time” to do this in the Commonwealth.

Stroke is a medical emergency. Know these warning signs of stroke and teach them to others. Every second counts: Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination Sudden, severe headache with no known cause If you or someone with you has one or more of these signs, don't delay! Immediately call 9-1-1 or the emergency medical services (EMS) number so an ambulance (ideally with advanced life support) can be sent for you. Also, check the time so you'll know when the first symptoms appeared. It's very important to take immediate action. If given within three hours of the start of symptoms, a clot-busting drug called tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) can reduce long-term disability for the most common type of stroke. tPA is the only FDA-approved medication for the treatment of stroke within three hours of stroke symptom onset. A TIA or transient ischemic attack is a "warning stroke" or "mini-stroke" that produces stroke-like symptoms but no lasting damage. Recognizing and treating TIAs can reduce your risk of a major stroke. The usual TIA symptoms are the same as those of stroke, only temporary. The short duration of these symptoms and lack of permanent brain injury is the main difference between TIA and stroke.

Lately I feel that the nonfiction book world has been awash in book titles and subtitles that do too good a job of explaining what the book is about. Tyler Cowens Create Your Own Economy: The Path to Prosperity in a Disordered World is just the solution weve been waiting for. Whats this about? Well, it turns out to substantially be about autism. But not particularly about the science of autism or research into the condition. Rather, you get an extended riff on the idea that there are certain characteristic cognitive strengths associated with autism spectrum neurology, in particular an enhanced ability to order information. Cowens argument is that these skills are becoming more important in the modern world, and that modern technology is making us better and better at it.
Far from suffering from an information overload or unduly short attention spans, were getting better and better at slicing information into small chunks and reordering it. A somewhat trivial, but typical, example is the difference between playing a record and assembling an iTunes playlist.
Its a bit hard to do the book justice because the subject matter is so unorthodox. So Ill put it this way instead. I first cracked the book one afternoon intending to read for about ninety minutes and then go get on my bike and meet someone. While reading, I decided to change plans and take the bus instead so as to create more time (both coming and going) when I could read more Create Your Own Economy. Theres no real discussion of policy issues here, but you do get a fascinating analysis of Sherlock Homes.

Noni fruit from the noni tree has been known and used for centuries in Polynesia and Asia. The scientific name of the noni plant is morinda citrifolia with a number of related species of the mulberry plant. The noni tree grows to about 25-30 high and has a long life span. The trees grow well in tropical climates and spread naturally as their seeds develop on every fruit. Before the seeds form, beautiful little white flowers first appear on the green fruit. In the wilds, the trees continuously bear hundreds of fruits each year, most dropping to the ground where they decompose and become a natural fertilizer. Many fruits ripen on the trees and, as they do they emit a strong, disagreeable odor, perhaps as a defense mechanism to keeps birds away. Unlike most other fruits, noni fruit and its juice also have a strong taste. The early Polynesians soon discovered that the fruits, leaves and roots of the plant could be used for treatment of various ailments. In fact, noni and a few other tropical plants, was their only available. There were no doctors, no hospitals, and no corner drugs stores. They had to find their own remedies and noni was a favorite. The native healers in Hawaii carefully controlled the use of the fruits, dispensing the fruits and juice as and protected. People of Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands were, and still are great believers in the fruit as a natural remedy and exported plants everywhere in the Pacific region, including Hawaii. An interesting study of the early use of the fruit in Hawaii indicates that noni may have been the only good source of vitamin C in the islands in ancient times and it was said to have helped the islanders survive. The natives used noni fruits, noni juice from the fruits, noni leaves and noni roots as well. There are dozens of producers of noni these days. Some juices now on the market are reconstituted from noni powders; others are made from noni fruit pulp diluted with water; others are mixed with other juices and flavors. Very few noni juices are marketed as 100% pure noni juice. Many sellers look for ways to dilute noni so as to maximize profits. Natural Styles Noni Juice is 100% Pure Noni Juice. Independently tested and verified for potency. The highest quality pure noni juice for the lowest price per ounce! 100% pure Noni Jucie from Tahiti, with no additives. Efficiently absorbed in potent liquid form. This 32 oz. size offers lower retail price per ounce than competitors 12 oz., 16 oz. or 32 oz. sizes. 100% organically grown and harvested. I have to thank you I have been using Liver Dr. and I have really seen the effects. Thanks for a great product- I am definitely going to keep taking it! - J.F. (34 Years Old)
What does your liver do?
The liver is found within the lower part of the rib-cage on the right hand side of the body.  It has a huge variety of functions in the body and is the only organ that can repair and re-grow itself after damage.
The liver is the second largest organ in the body and is often seen as the most important organ. In traditional Chinese medicine, for example, a healthy liver is seen as the most critical element in the body's ability to fight disease and function optimally.
For this reason, complementary and holistic medicine always emphasizes liver health as one of the most vital components in overall systemic health. Amongst other important functions, the liver is responsible for eliminating and detoxifying the poisons that enter our blood stream.
The liver is also very important in the digestion of food and produces bile which is essential in the breakdown of fats, thereby preventing obesity one of the biggest contributors to bad health. It also regulates blood sugar and stores any excess sugar in a useful quick-release form for when it is needed.
The liver clears the blood of old red blood cells, bacteria and other infectious organisms as well as ingested toxins including alcohol. It is responsible for producing a large number of different proteins including hormones and blood clotting factors and is the organ which stores Vitamin A, D, E and K.
In the modern world, environmental pollution, fast foods, drugs, alcohol and sedentary lifestyles all contribute to sluggish and diseased livers. The result.

Hi guys. I guess Im posting this here because the Weddings Section is where I hang out the most here on Yahoo Answers.
Last night, I found out my Mom was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. We are not yet sure what stage or what type of cancer it isbut the Dr.s say it is very treatable with a good cure rate.
Im doing my best to be supportive, willing to help my Mom with her appointments, or help her with anything I can do. I know she needs surgery, then needs treatments.
Mom has great chances to be cured. This is one of the easiest cancers to treat in early stages. Im just stuck in such a depression right nowm scared. I watched my grandma die from breast cancerand I dont want to lose my motheralthough I know there is nothing I can do to this.
I should be getting my Save the Date magnet envelopes ready, but I cant even think about my wedding. How can I be positive and shake off this depression? I cant find a spiritm so scared
Mom is doing okshe needs to schedule her surgerythere is really nothing I can do to help her right now, and I think that is part of why Im so frustrated. I feel helpless. Mom told me to keep busy, and focus on positive thingswhich is why I probably should work on the envelopes for my magnets to be mailed out..(I already have the magnets)but Im feeling so lethargicI just want to go home and hide.
Thank you all for the posts so far. Yes, I am fully aware this is not really a wedding specific questionbut Im a here in Weddingsand I feel much better hearing from familiar names (Luv ya Bluntthank you so much for your support) than I would find in other areas of this bulletin board. I did post this in the sectionbut I have not gotten nearly as much of a response. I have lots of friends to support me..but right now Im at workand I have been really feeling alone.

On June 27, 2009, Gina Kolata’s article in the New York Times on the too safe nature of funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) struck a chord for many of us. She opens the article with the following, “Among the recent research grants awarded by the National Cancer Institute is one for a study asking whether people who are especially responsive to good-tasting food have the most difficulty staying on a diet. Another study will assess a Web-based program that encourages families to choose more healthful foods.”
Her over all conclusion, despite the forty year war on cancer, most grants funded by the NIH on cancer will not break any new ground or make a difference in anybody’s life.
She then cited the example of one funded project that “asks whether a laboratory discovery involving colon cancer also applies to breast cancer. But even if it does apply, there is no treatment yet that exploits it.” So, who is going to see any positive result?
The NIH has spent $105 billion since President Richard M. Nixon declared war on cancer in 1971. The American Cancer Society, the largest private financier of cancer research, has spent about $3.4 billion on research grants since 1946. Despite all this money having been invested in the war on cancer there has been a shockingly small decline in the death rate from cancer, according to the FDA the gold standard for measuring success.
Some scientists view the grant system as if it were another jobs program, a way to keep research laboratories going year after year. Underlying this concept is an understanding that the labs focus will be on small projects unlikely to take significant steps toward curing cancer. One could almost say that cancer research labs need cancer to remain deadly so that they can remain in business!
However, I must say that in reality we do need to keep these labs open and functioning, other wise we will lose their expertise. Without these labs we would not be training the researchers of the future, but we need to train researchers who can make the next big step forward in curing cancer instead of researcher who reinvent the wheel. Currently the types of grants made and the training of these young researchers are as Dr. Robert C. Young, Chancellor at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and Chairman of the Board of Scientific Advisors, an independent group that makes recommendations to the cancer institute, characterized as oriented more to obtaining funding than to curing cancer! I thought our goal was to cure cancer, I guess I am wrong.
.
“These grants are not silly, but they are only likely to produce incremental progress,” said Dr. Young. The institute’s reviewers choose such projects because, with too little money to finance most proposals, they are timid about taking chances on ones that might not succeed. The problem, Dr. Young and others say, is that projects that could make a major difference in cancer prevention and treatment are all too often crowded out because they are too uncertain. In fact, it has become lore among cancer researchers that some game-changing discoveries involved projects deemed too unlikely to succeed and were therefore denied federal grants, forcing researchers to struggle mightily to continue.”
Kolata’s example took one transformative drug, “for breast cancer. It was based on a discovery by Dr. Dennis Slamon of the University of California, Los Angeles, that very aggressive breast cancers often have multiple copies of a particular protein, HER-2. That led to the development of herceptin, which blocks HER-2.
Now women with excess HER-2 proteins, who once had the worst breast cancer prognoses, have prognoses that are among the best. But when Dr. Slamon wanted to start this research, his grant was turned down. He succeeded only after the grateful wife of a patient helped him get money from Revlon, the cosmetics company.”
Even top federal cancer officials say the system needs to be changed.
“We have a system that works over all pretty well, and is very good at ruling out bad things — we don’t fund bad research,” said Dr. Raynard S. Kington, acting director of the National Institutes of Health, which includes the cancer institute. “But given that, we also recognize that the system probably provides disincentives to funding really transformative research.”
Not at all surprising, but the private NGO, The American Cancer Society follows a similarly cautious path. Last year, it awarded $124 million in new research grants, with some money coming from large donors but most from events like walkathons and memorial donations.
Dr. Otis W. Brawley, chief medical officer at the cancer society, has stated that he agrees that the entire cancer research effort is too cautious. “The problem in science is that the way you get ahead is by staying within narrow parameters and doing what other people are doing,” Dr. Brawley said. “No one wants to fund wild new ideas.” A statement like this from Dr. Brawley is scary, why has not he used his position to change this? Talking about it and doing something are two different items.
Some experienced scientists have found a way to offset the problem. They do chancy experiments by siphoning money from their other grants, but I believe that this is wrong. However, the bigger wrong is the system that forces researchers to be devious and deceitful with their funders.
The breath of fresh air in this funding problem is the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program in the Department of Defense (CDMRP). In this program research proposals are scored up if they are high risk, but can make a significant difference in the field of cancer research. The CDMRP’s orientation could serve as an outstanding model for the American cancer Society and the NIH.

Underarm sweating can be a bad experience for the first meeting wow to the others. It does so since the underarm sweating could spread bad body whiff to yourself as well as create stains to your wear . Additionally, the other person may consider you have only poor hygiene.
Most often, underarm sweating happens when doing sporting activities. This kind of sweating also occurs when an individual is suffering from stress. On the other hand, there are other examples too when you could be affected by this form of sweating.
Put on the Correct Sort of Outfits
Besides the unpleasant body whiff that happens because of underarm sweating, there are also several other consequences to contend with. One system to decrease the opportunities of underarm sweating influencing you is to put on the suitable type of wear . It does so since besides the smell, this form of sweating can result in spoiling your wear by causing sweat stain marks.
Nonetheless, the most excellent way to decline the incidence of underarm sweating is to have the area operated on. As a matter of fact, this treatment system has been recognized to show a high success rate. On the other hand, at the same time this is expensive as well as puts you at hazard of particular side effects, for example losing skin in the area of your armpits.
You might also wish to try doing yoga. It is recognized to be effective in controlling underarm sweating. There are in fact, several yoga relaxation ways that can help you in this regard although in an indirect way. The fact of the matter is that since yoga is recognized to decline stress, it will consequently in several technique make sure that you dont end up with underarm sweating which typically takes place when you are too stressed out in your mind.

Undoubtedly, anti-perspirants help in blocking the sweat ducts through the aluminum salts contained in it. On the other hand, at the same time, there are rumors that anti-perspirants can cause breast cancer as well. On the other hand, till now there is no real evidence of this rumor.
Nonetheless, if you also make certain that you dry yourself suitable after a bath; you will be able to throw away from micro-organisms as well as bacteria that thrive in damp places. By also applying an anti-perspirant to absorb whatever sweat is caused in the armpits region, you can control the situation better.

Summer 2009 has been another treasure trove of crop circle formations and they just keep getting better and more interesting. We have previously featured articles on the Phoenix and Dragonfly formations (which appeared in the same field) as well as the amazing Jellyfish formation found nearby. On July 5 a Mayan style crop circle formation appeared near the ancient and mysterious Silbury Hill, which is the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe and is near Avebury, Wiltshire. Even though mainstream media spends a lot of time trying to debunk crop circles, the majority of formations that appear in England near neolithic sites are never proven as hoaxes; they are simply created by forces that we currently do not understand.
As noted by our friends over at Crop Circle Connector speculate, This spellbinding event brings back memories of another wonderful formation also with a Mayan motif that appeared at Silbury Hill in 2004. Both these events could be making us aware of the date of the 21st December 2012. This is the date the Mayan calendar comes to an end.

Researchers believe that it was balsam fir (Albies balsamea) that was the "Balm of Gilead" and that it was one of the kingly gifts given to the Christ child. Known as "liquid gold" it was one of the three oils found in King Tutankhamen's grave and thus considered of royal nature. It makes sense that the Magi representing the East in acknowledging Jesus as the "new King" would bring the "kingly oils." How exactly did the ancient people use this oil? That is a bit of a mystery. We do know that they liked to breathe in its aroma because they lined their temples and homes with the wood of balsam fir trees. Fir or balsam is mentioned 18 times in the Bible in 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, the Psalms, the Song of Solomon, and in the prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Nahum and Zechariah. Balsam fir has been used for thousands of years for respiratory and muscular system ailments. Hildegard of Bingen in the twelfth century referred to balsam and said it was of royal nature and advised that it ought to be used as a medicine with great caution because it was so powerful. In more modern times, balsam fir has proved to be an anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory. It is used by many massage therapists because it is a relaxant to the nervous system and to muscle spasms.
In North America where balsam trees are plentiful, the Chippewas used the gum resin as an analgesic; the Menominees used gum resin for cold, cuts, lung and sores; Montagnais applied gum resin for chest or heart pain; Ojibwas used gum resin for colds, sores, sore eyes, venereal disease; the Penobscots used gum resin for cuts and sores; the Pillagers used needles in sweat baths; the Pottawatomies used gum resin for colds and sores; and the Caughnawagas used gum resin for cancers. Here is one of those clues found on our own continent as to the healing power of balsam fir.
The Primary Action of Balsam
Balsam is a powerful anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory. It's chemistry shows that it is over 90% monoterpenes making it highly anti-inflammatory. It is a relaxant to the nervous system and to muscle spasms, can lower cortisol levels and it has been shown to inhibit MCF-7 (aggressive Breast Cancer cells). A combination of balsam fir and frankincense together are showing great ability to inhibit breast cancers. How is it being used? By daily topical application in a 50-50 dilution on site. If this were a pharmaceutical drug application, it would be hailed as a medical break-through. Women learning about this who have a family history of aggressive breast cancer are opting for prophylactic application of balsam and frankincense on their breasts. I have also heard many personal testimonies of women who experience frequent cyst formations who try this and find that these cysts disappear without further medical intervention.
Where Is the Research on This? Since there is no money to be made in studying the medicines of the earth, most research findings are anecdotal either conducted by small clinics, individual doctors or naturopaths or through individual personal testimonies of those who have opted for complementary methods of healing. As often is the case, individuals who have gone the traditional medical model route have "tried everything" and still have their cancer. Having "nothing to lose" they try complementary health care solutions and are amazed to find tumors shrinking or disappearing. It is my belief that as more people become educated to know that they have choices-more will make informed decisions about their personal healthcare choices. Please note that complementary health care including essential oils does not work for everyone just as chemotherapy does not work for everyone. It is a choice-but one that causes no cell damage as chemotherapy does.
